SOAPRO’s social responsibility is based on an ongoing commitment to the sustainable development of the communities where it operates, promoting social inclusion, access to education, capacity building, food security, and well-being.
In this context, the organization develops and implements a series of structured projects designed to generate a positive and lasting impact, with a special focus on vulnerable groups.
These initiatives are designed to address the real needs of communities, helping to create opportunities, build skills, and improve quality of life.
Dimuka
Raise awareness and provide guidance to help children and young people prepare for the job market
The Dimuka project is an awareness-raising and career guidance initiative that aims to familiarize children, adolescents, and young adults with the realities of the job market.
Through guided tours of flagship projects developed by SOAPRO, participants have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various fields of activity, with a focus on architecture, engineering, the environment, water resources, energy, infrastructure, and industry.
This experience helps broaden students’ knowledge of various professions, fostering an interest in learning and supporting young people in developing a clearer and more informed vision of their academic and professional future.

Establishment and Improvement of School Libraries
The Cantinho do Saber project aims to support public schools by creating and improving school libraries, promoting access to books and encouraging reading.
The initiative begins by identifying schools that lack adequate spaces for reading. Existing rooms are then renovated and transformed into functional, organized, and welcoming libraries, tailored to the specific needs of each school.
The spaces are equipped with books and teaching materials, obtained through donations and purchases, ensuring essential resources to support the teaching and learning process.
This project aims to encourage a habit of reading, improve academic performance, and provide better learning conditions for children and young people in public schools, while also contributing to inclusive development and the education of future generations who are better informed and better equipped.

Unifica
The Unifica project aims to prepare college students for the challenges of the job market by promoting the development of technical and behavioral skills essential for their professional integration.
Through theoretical and practical training courses taught by experienced professionals from SOAPRO’s various areas of operation, participants gain access to applied knowledge and real-world experience in the sector.
The project helps bridge the gap between academic education and the demands of the job market, equipping young people for a smoother, more informed, and more competitive transition into the workforce.

Dragonfly Project
The Libelinha project is the result of a partnership between Standard Bank Angola, SOAPRO, and Livraria Kiela, based on a vision of sustainability, inclusion, and social development.
The main objective of the initiative is to support access to quality education in Angola by improving educational infrastructure and promoting more inclusive and equitable learning environments.
The project focuses on three main areas:
- Renovating school libraries in public schools to create suitable spaces for reading and studying;
- Training education professionals to ensure better conditions for managing and revitalizing libraries;
- Promoting literacy through the implementation of educational programs, events, and the provision of appropriate book collections.
Through an integrated and sustainable approach, Libelinha helps strengthen the education system and create more accessible and inclusive learning opportunities.

Agri.Social Culture
The Agri-Cultura Social project promotes sustainable agricultural development in the Paço neighborhood of Cacuaco by supporting local farmers and rural residents through an approach based on inclusion, capacity building, and food security.
The initiative is based on the provision of 8 hectares of land, for a period of five years, distributed among farmers and rural residents in the community. In addition to access to land, participants receive technical training and ongoing support, ensuring more efficient, sustainable, and income-generating agricultural practices.
This model combines agricultural production with social impact, promoting families’ economic self-sufficiency and encouraging the sharing of resources. As part of its commitment to social solidarity, 10% of production is donated to social welfare organizations, with regular deliveries to institutions such as Lar da Nazaré and Lar dos Idosos.
The project already directly benefits more than 50 families in the community, as well as hundreds of people served by supported institutions, helping to combat hunger and improve living conditions.
Inclusion is one of the pillars of the project, with women—including elderly rural women and people with disabilities—making up the majority of participants. Among the participants, the leadership of a farmer with a visual impairment who serves as the project coordinator is particularly noteworthy, reinforcing the commitment to equal opportunity.
